National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) recognise the abilities of individuals in the workplace. They are based on the
competences required for employment which have been determined by the industry. These competences are known as national
standards. Trade Services can visit yopu on site thropughout Cornwall and Devon to undertake your NVQ.

The NVQ OSAT courses we can offer are:
- NVQ 2 and 3 Plumbing
- NVQ 2 and 3 Electrical
- NVQ 2 and 3 Site Carpentry
- NVQ 2 and 3 Bricklaying/Trowel occupations
- NVQ 2 and 3 Plastering
- NVQ 2 and 3 Tiling
- NVQ 2 and 3 Decorative Occupations
NVQ OSAT Course Content
Trade Services will provide the following services to OSAT candidates:
- Guidance and support
- Assessments
- Verification
- Registration
OSAT Training workshops are held at our Trade Services Training centre offering theory, underpinning knowledge, task assignments
and candidate support. Training is structured around the relevant NVQ portfolio.
The experienced worker route is one that allows a candidate to attend the centre or to be assessed at their place of work to
submit a portfolio, complete the CSCS Health & Safety test, carry out a professional discussion, demonstrate practical
competence and achieve the job knowledge exam.
