Who can attend the course?
The course is for operatives working in the water industry. It is also suitable for owners and occupiers of premises and anyone who installs plumbing systems or water fittings as they have the legal duty to ensure that the systems satisfies the regulations.

Where do I go to study the course?
The courses are run in our NIC/EIC training centre at Penhale Military Training Camp, Holywell Bay, Newquay, Cornwall, TR5 8PF. We will provide you with joining instructions including a map and directions.

What are the entry requirements?
No supply pre-requisite knowledge or qualifications are required, however a basic understanding of the working principles of domestic cold and hot water systems would be advantageous.

Course Objectives?
This course is to complement the unvented hot water course but it is possible that the possession of a competency certificate may in the future be a regulatory requirement. The course covers all aspects of the regulations, including water fittings, system design and installation, the prevention of cross contamination, backflow prevention, hot and cold water services and water for use outside a property.

What can I do after the course?
Awareness training will enable you to develop an understanding of the regulations, learn how to assess yourself, and identify issues on your own site to comply with the regulations. Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to self certify your own work within the water industry.

How long is the Course and will I need to bring anything?
The course is certificated by the NIC/EIC and takes 1 day. You are required to bring a pair of steel toe capped boots, 4 passport photos and a packed lunch. Tea and coffee are provided along with any course reading material.
